Thinking about a custom Seiko but not sure where to start? This guide explains what goes into a Seiko build, which parts you can change, and how the process works when you order from Watchdial in the UAE.
What "customising" a Seiko actually means
A custom Seiko (or "Seiko mod") keeps a genuine Seiko automatic movement and rebuilds the watch around it with premium aftermarket parts. You get the mechanical reliability Seiko is known for, in a design you won't find on a standard model. For the full background, see our complete guide to custom Seiko watches in the UAE.
The parts you can change
- Dial - colour, texture and numeral style (stone, Arabic, Roman or index).
- Bezel - from clean fixed bezels to GMT and dive-style inserts.
- Hands - matched to the dial for contrast and legibility.
- Crystal - most of our builds use scratch-resistant sapphire.
- Bracelet or strap - steel Jubilee and President bracelets, rubber, or leather.
How the build works at Watchdial
Every watch is assembled in-house by our watchmakers. We fit your chosen parts to the Seiko automatic base, then regulate, water-test and quality-check the finished piece before it ships. Because we build to order, small details can be tailored to you - just message us on WhatsApp before ordering.
